Downtown Durham Skyline

Downtown Durham is a HOT Real Estate Market!  If you live around the Durham area this is something that you have noticed over the last 5-10 years.  2016 and 2017 has seen values in the downtown area explode in price and location.  The city center has always been a block to block, house to house type market and this concept continues to expand to the east.  Values of homes East of Alston Avenue have risen and investors have taken notice.  You can't seem to drive down a street in East Durham and not see a construction dumpster or a renovated home.

Homes near Duke University seem to bring more dollars per square foot and the existing homes are larger and some are not as updated due to their age.  Garrett Builders, LLC has been successful in recent years finding infill lots and building Craftsman style homes that are timeless in character and full of details and energy efficiency.  Garrett Builders, LLC currently has several projects near downtown Durham.  This listing is at 2330 Auburn Street and the  home is priced at $650,000 with an unfinished basement that the builder can finish out for an additional cost if you need more space.  The home is an easy walk to Duke University.  Check out how close this home is to Duke here.

Revision Developers, LLC have upcoming projects at 909 Lancaster Street (New Construction) in the mid $600s and soon will begin a renovation on 1106 N. Duke Street.  The Duke Street home is the sister home to a recent renovation that they did for 806 Lancaster Street in Trinity Heights.  In the 1920's and 1930's this house design was built by the same family in a few places near Duke University.
